THE OPPORTUNITY

We are on the lookout for a Document Automation Engineer to join our team here at DLA Piper in our Leeds office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team of automators at a truly international, full-service law firm. You will be working right at the start of a project to build out an industry-leading service aimed at improving the working lives of over 4,000 lawyers, whilst delivering quality and consistency across their work.

This role involves working with the DocAuto Manager to automate the international business pipeline, increasing the volume of automated documents using the firm's DocAuto tool, Contract Express.    

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES       

The role consists of assisting the DocAuto Manager in:

• Improving the quality of existing automated documents
• Testing automated documents, correcting errors and recording changes
• Provide training to users around the business on how to automate documents using the DocAuto tool
• Provide training to lawyers on how to mark-up a document for automation and provide advice on the best practice for document automation
• Monitoring the operation of the service, providing assistance to operational IT in the event of any problems
• Running regular reports on the use of the service and creating management information as required

• Must have strong technical proficiency in using Contract Express
• Experience of working in a legal environment an advantage
