THE OPPORTUNITY

Would you like a client-facing role working with some of DLA Piper's International Key Clients? As an International Account Manager, you will support the Client Relationship Partners and team on client development, relationship management and service delivery. This role will require a proactive approach, good business development skills and confidence in front of senior clients and relationship partners. Prior experience in managing or growing client relationships would be great, but is not essential. You could be based in any of our European locations.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop a client service plan identifying areas to target, relationship map, KPIs etc 

  • Implement systems to promote consistency and quality of client service 

  • Ensure delivery of commitments made during proposal process 

  • Take responsibility for communication and enforcement of service levels across the wider organisation

  • Help build and nurture a core team around the selected clients 

  • Where appropriate, develop relationships with the client becoming the 'go to' person with any queries 

  • Ensure intelligence about the client is shared within the core team and wider firm as appropriate 

  • Work with CRP and finance to establish most appropriate management tools, systems and billing processes 

  • Work with CRP and core team on BD activity, in particular in identifying opportunities and delivering pitches and proposals in relation to the accounts 

  • Ensure the account is managed in accordance with best practice processes, e.g. regular CRM reviews

  • Demonstrate previous experience of managing key accounts in a professional services environment 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of and interest in the [Financial Services and Insurance Sectors]

  • Identify information requirements and manage projects 

  • Evaluate and present information for business advantage 

  • Contribute information and ideas to the strategy process 

  • Create client development plans 

  • Manage communication activities 

  • Create competitive and sustainable pricing policies 

  • Manage the implementation of pricing strategies and monitor their effectiveness 

  • Manage and monitor the provision of effective customer service 

  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing activities 

  • Manage individuals and teams 

  • Embrace change. Influence others to modify their behaviours and attitudes where necessary 

  • Manage third party suppliers; exploring and assessing scenarios for the organisation in relation to stakeholders  

  • Maintain relationships with other functions and disciplines within the organization 

  • Demonstrate advanced stakeholder management, communication skills, diplomacy and negotiation skills 

  • Be involved in activity which promotes the overall well-being and/or standing of the business; evaluate ethical codes to ensure marketing activities are compliant 

  • Develop and manage budgets demonstrating analytical skills to interpret financial information

The job holder may be required to undertake additional duties from time to time.
