Job Details

Our RIT lawyers work closely with banks, turnaround professionals, insolvency practitioners, underperforming businesses, distressed lenders and other stakeholders to create recovery solutions and to advise on strategy to achieve solvent and insolvent restructurings and business sales. We understand the importance of giving practical advice relevant to the context of the sector in which our clients operate.

The team in London now has an opportunity for a Secretary to join them on a full-time basis.

What will you be doing?

You'll be keeping on top of multiple diaries, organising meetings, travel and accommodation as necessary.  There'll be some work around client billing, including preparation of bills and assisting with client reporting using excel spreadsheets.  You'll also have responsibility for file maintenance, both electronic and paper-based.  You'll be working as part of a team of secretaries, so the ability to work cohesively with others is essential.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

You'll be an organised Secretary with excellent IT skills, specifically in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.  Previous legal secretarial experience isn't essential, but would give your application a distinct advantage.  If you're organised, have a good eye for detail and have previously worked in a secretarial role dealing with complex agreements/documents then we really want to hear from you.

Who are we?

We're a full-service transatlantic commercial law firm, created on 1 November 2017 through the combination of UK firm Bond Dickinson and US firm Womble Carlyle.  In the UK, Womble Bond Dickinson advises in excess of 40 FTSE 350 companies, many of the largest businesses in the country, government organisations and wealthy individuals.

So what’s it for you?

All our offices are impressive and looked after by our great Facilities and Guest Services team.  We've a forward thinking IT team who are constantly updating our IT systems.  As you'd expect in a firm our size you'll receive a comprehensive benefits package which you can manage personally.

In addition, through our D&I practices and programmes we work hard to ensure that difference is visibly valued and welcomed. Visit our D&I page to find out more.

But most of all – it's our people and culture that make it a great place to work.

So you're interested but have some questions?

If this sounds like the perfect next step in your career then please follow the instructions to make a formal application on our website – just a few contact detail questions and then upload your CV and covering letter.
