We are looking for one, possibly two candidates, to join the consistently UK ranked procurement team. This team continues to enjoy a varied, high quality workload acting for major utility and central Government clients as well as bidders.  We cover the public sector, utility, defence, concessions and other sector specific procurement rules.  We advise on all aspects of procurement law  including general advisory work, project work and contentious matters.  You may approach procurement law from a background in any of competition law, public and administrative law, construction or general projects / commercial law.   The variety in the practice makes it interesting and occasionally challenging. Whilst experience in any of the above areas would be an advantage, we are looking for bright candidates with a good academic background with a genuine interest in the area and who enjoy intellectual challenge. You would work as part of a procurement law focused team within our consistently top ranked Competition department and there would also be the opportunity to work in or expand your skillset into related areas such as competition law, state aid and the laws applying to regulated markets.

Required experience, skills and attributes

Technical Skills

• Strong academic record, preferably qualified in Scots and/or English law

• Exceptional legal research ability
