Job Details

Due to rapid growth in our Commercial Disputes practice as a result of exciting new client wins, we're now looking to recruit several lawyers across our national network of regional offices either on a full or part time basis or even on a term time only basis for those with family priorities.

Our national team of disputes lawyers now number over 200 firm wide, and with our proven track record in litigation, arbitration, mediation and specialist disputes advice, the team is undoubtedly a leader in its field (and is recognised as such in Chambers and Legal 500).  With an impressive list of FTSE 250 clients including national household names in the energy, financial services, retail and manufacturing sectors among others, we can offer lawyers a truly diverse mix of high quality work.

So what will you be doing?

Working with a national team you can expect to work on a wide spectrum of commercial disputes work, partnering our clients to resolve multi million pound disputes from day one.  Our range of commercial disputes is diverse – you'll be working on a range of disputes from commercial contract disputes for petrochemical companies, to advising on pension disputes, through to IT and technology disputes, procurement disputes and everything in between. What is common to all our contentious work is the quality and complexity of the work.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

How often you work and where you work is not so important, it's the quality of commercial litigation and/or arbitration experience gained at a City or leading regional firm you bring that will be key.

You'll have the ability to apply a sharp intelligence to complex issues on behalf our clients, a proactive attitude to work, and a level of personal resilience to support challenging yet rewarding cases.  You'll also be confident, with commercial acumen, and be able to demonstrate the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

If you have at least seven years post qualification experience with tested skills in supervision and development of junior lawyers, then we really want to hear from you.

So what makes it so great to work here?

You can base yourself at any of our regional office sites, or perhaps you'd like to work at home one or two days week or even be part-time or work just term time, that's fine also.

We're keen to help you shape your own career, whether that be as a recognised legal expert in your field, a great team player or a successful winner of new clients.  Though we also recognise not everyone is looking to climb up that next rung on the ladder to partner and some just want a stable job in a supportive environment, and we can offer that too.

And that's not all, alongside a competitive salary you'll receive a flexible benefits package so you can pick and choose between the benefits that matter most to you.

So if you're up for a challenge then why not get in touch to find out more; my name is Emma Forrester and you can reach me on 0117 989 6593.
