THE OPPORTUNITY  

The Information Security Group (ISG) is responsible for ensuring the firms compliance with information security controls, management policies and procedures that are a core component of the firm's ISO 27001 certification.

The security operations team is responsible for monitoring, assessing and improving security measures for the protection of systems, networks and data ensuring appropriate controls are in place. Responding to security incidents. Maintaining up to date intelligence and methodologies of information security threats and vulnerabilities. 

The InfoSec Operations Analyst is a key part of the Firm's security operations capability and is the front line of incident response, the primary point of contact for security queries and works closely with IT teams, Risk management functions and other business support services.         

The role also forms part of the Firm's 24x7 security response capability so participation in the on call rota is expected.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES    

The InfoSec Operations Analyst is responsible for:

  • Leads the response to security incidents and analysis of events

  • Responding to security queries from the wider business

  • Performing vulnerability testing and assessment of remediation requirements

  • Supporting project activity, security architecture and control implementation

  • Assessing the security impact of changes to the environment resulting from projects and Operations and act as an approval point for firewall and other change controls

  • Document security policies, procedures and tests

  • Working with the firms MSSP on incident response and service tuning

  • Providing metrics to the ISG Management

  • Technical analysis (in conjunction with architectural teams) of new systems and software

  • Liaising with HR , Risk Management and IT during investigations

  • Supporting security engineering teams in ensuring that security systems and software are running and up to date

  • Promote security awareness to both internal and external customers

Whilst this role is not hands on security engineering, it requires a good level of technical knowledge to work with the security engineering teams and MSSP.      

ABOUT YOU

  • Experienced in security operations activities, possibly in a SOC environment

  • Experience of wider operational security in international organisations

  • Demonstrable understanding of information security controls and technology

  • Experience of working with a ISO27000 ISMS

  • Knowledge of technical security controls including Cisco firewalls & IPS, EDR solutions, web filtering, email filtering and logging & monitoring

  • Experience of working with public cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS

  • Technical and general security certifications. E.g. CISSP, SANS GIAC, CEH, CCSP
