We're currently looking for an administrator to join our busy Property Disputes team based in Southampton.

About the Property Disputes team

You'll be part of the Property Disputes team who provide legal advice on property related matters and disputes. Working with a nationwide team of around 40 lawyers, the Southampton team have a widely deserved reputation for the provision of excellent service.  Our clients include a number of FTSE 250 household names, across a range of sectors including transport and infrastructure, leisure, energy and charities.

What does the job involve?

You'll work closely with the Secretarial Supervisor assisting on a day to day basis with a variety of administration tasks. There really is a lot go get your teeth stuck in to.  You'll be maintaining the legal filing system through opening, closing and archiving files, responding to queries and requests regarding legal files, arranging travel documents for lawyers, assisting the Secretarial Supervisor with correspondence on behalf of the lawyers, answering the telephone, assisting with the billing process, printing invoices, liaising with our Virtual Services offside document production team and general duties including photocopying, binding, scanning and printing.

What experience should I have?

You'll need to have previous experience of working in an administration position as this is a busy role.  In addition this role needs someone with exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, excellent organisation skills with a flexible approach, good attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines. Naturally you'll be able to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with a variety of people across our firm at all levels.

You should also be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills and an understanding of filing systems, both manual and electronic.
