The role is available on a full-time, permanent basis.
Who we are:
Osborne Clarke is recognised as one of the UK's most forward-thinking law firms. Our success is down to excellence in our approach to our clients, our people and our business.
We are renowned for our unstuffy and supportive culture, encouraging all our people to make the most of their talent with stretching careers in a fast growing and exciting environment. Our focussed strategy and positive working environment have been rewarded by many prestigious awards for career progression, management and culture, including being named 'Firm of the year' 2018 by both Bristol Law Society and Roll on Friday.
With a growing international reach, particularly in Europe but also across Asia and the US, we look after a wide range of commercial clients such as Facebook and Vodafone as well as entrepreneurs and digital start-ups.
What you'll do:
Reporting to the HR Systems & Operations Manager, key responsibilities will include:
- Sending new joiner welcome email and completing administration in relation to employees' end of probation or fixed term contracts.
- Sending notifications and completing relevant processes for employee movers and leavers.
- Logging and maintaining absence records on the HR system.
- Responding to external employment, tenancy and mortgage reference requests.
- Processing of HR travel requests including rail & accommodation for the HR team.
- Creating firm-wide communications for employee announcements such as joiners/leavers and baby news.
- Arranging HR Inductions, inviting new joiners to monthly sessions and managing the room bookings.
- Processing and logging invoices relevant to the HR team.
- Transferring new joiner on-boarding documentation to the relevant personnel files and online workspaces.
- Providing administrative support on HR-related projects.
- Working closely with the Diversity & Wellbeing Manager to provide administrative support on relevant initiatives.
- Monitoring the Diversity & Wellbeing inbox and responding to relevant queries, escalating as required.
- Diversity & Wellbeing event management to include, but not limited to: booking venues, transport and accommodation, managing catering requirements, sending invitations, monitoring attendance and post event actions.
What we're looking for:
We are seeking an individual with experience of providing administration support within a fast-paced environment. Whilst it would be an advantage to have gained administration experience within a HR department, this is not essential if there is a demonstrable interest in this area.
Also required:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to support multiple people and areas of work
- Self-motivated and proactive
