Job Details

We have a fantastic, new opportunity for a Project Delivery Manager to join the OC Solutions team. This is a permanent role that can be based in either our Bristol or London office.

The Team

Osborne Clarke's Solutions (OCS) team play a crucial role in helping clients explore exactly how they would like legal and related services to be delivered to maximise the value to their businesses. The team is overtly focussed on the client first, and on developing new products and services to deliver existing services better, and to deliver entirely new services to meet growing client needs.

Our Solutions programme has two key goals. First, to make sure we’re responding to client demands for greater value, efficiency & certainty from their lawyers, whilst maintaining the highest quality. Secondly, in helping us bring innovative ideas to the delivery of our current, and new, services.

By talking to clients, using collaborative technology, and developing legal project management tools, we believe that we can continue to improve the value, efficiency and predictability of our services.

The programme has already delivered solutions to a number of clients, with hundreds of matters now being instructed, run and managed online. The team is now working on many more opportunities to design and implement new delivery and technology tools, and also help clients’ own process improvements.

The team also is heavily involved in ensuring that our lawyers have the products and resources needed to provide the best possible service to our clients.

The team is headed by a partner who is focussed full-time on developing and delivering new products and services. As the demands on the team grow, we have a need for more dedicated, legally experienced, resource to work with the team, other OC lawyers and clients, in producing and managing our growing portfolio of new products, services and solutions.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Head of the team, you will have a focus around project and change management, ensuring the positive architecture and methodology that has been developed is used, and improved, as the team move forwards.

The role has a client-facing focus as well as covering internal management. As such, you will play a key part in the delivering projects with the client team. Through this exposure, you will also help to shape product and service development into the future for the Solutions team.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with clients in early discussions of projects
  • Helping refine and improve OCS' project methodology, and product offerings
  • Co-ordinating project management and delivery across internal and external parties in the delivery of projects
  • Being part of the solution design team at OCS
  • Working with OCS and OC management, and clients, to create and manage the new fee structures and delivery models that our digital tools are supplied on
  • Helping clients and OC LLP manage the change impacts of the digital transformation involved in OCS' projects
  • Monitoring projects post-delivery and gathering client input for improvements and further transformation
  • Being part of the core ongoing CRM team for clients and their various stakeholder teams
  • Aid in reporting to EB on project progress and outcomes
  • Helping to further promote, internally and externally, OCS and its digital transformation work

What we're looking for

You will have a passion for change and experience within change/project management. You will also ideally have experience as a senior level lawyer, or equivalent level of qualification.

Also required:

  • Confident in dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • A change/project management associated qualification is desirable (training will be provided where necessary)
  • Strong interest in Digital Transformation
  • Willing and able to travel on a regular basis to client offices and other OC offices. (If London based then some travel to Bristol for team and project meetings would be required)
