THE ROLE   

The Digital Learning & Development Manager is responsible for establishing a digital learning & development strategy, evolving the digital learning practice, engagement and implementation  for DLA Piper International. 

The role could be based in Sheffield or Leeds.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with colleagues within L&D, Talent & Performance, D&I (Talent Development) and the wider HR community to identify and influence opportunities to digitalise learning and relevant people information processes

  • Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate business needs into compelling, high impact digital learning experiences

  • Design, develop and deliver digital learning  

  • Act as a centre of digital learning expertise - championing digital learning within the Firm, keeping on top of (and sharing) trends both in terms of new tools and techniques and market intelligence

  • Source and manage digital learning providers and technology working closely with procurement to maximise budget utilisation

  • Work closely with Learning Operations & Technology to ensure all new content on University Site (LMS) is consistent in terms of quality and standards

  • Build and  implement  an engagement plan increasing continuous levels of interest and participation in all areas of digital learning suitable for an international, multi-level and multigenerational audience

  • Use learning metrics and feedback to measure impact and improve digital learning products and services; continuously assessing opportunities to improve delivery

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Experience of designing, developing and embedding high impact solutions to drive business performance and grow capability in an international organisation

  • Experience of Learner Management Systems

  • Project management capabilities with cross functional experience

  • Experience leading complex digital L&D projects

  • Experience of being able to identify and translate traditional learning and development approaches into a variety of formats culminating in solely digital or blended learning solutions. 

  • Experience of working collaboratively  in a high-touch environment, with some exposure to a professional services sector

  • Proven experience of working internationally and delivering through virtual teams.

  • Strong level of commercial awareness

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, communicating effectively at all levels within the organization
