Job Details

We have a new opportunity for a HR Project Administrator to join our Human Resources team in Bristol, initially on a fixed-term contract for 6 months.

The main focus of this role will be to help drive forward a change project in which we are aiming to digitalise our people data in line with new legislation. We are able to consider candidates looking to work on a part-time basis to a minimum of 21 hours per week.

Who we are:

Osborne Clarke is recognised as one of the UK's most forward-thinking law firms. Our success is down to excellence in our approach to our clients, our people and our business.

We are renowned for our unstuffy and supportive culture, encouraging all our people to make the most of their talent with stretching careers in a fast growing and exciting environment. Our focussed strategy and positive working environment have been rewarded by many prestigious awards for career progression, management and culture, including being named 'Firm of the year' 2018 by both Bristol Law Society and Roll on Friday.

With a growing international reach, particularly in Europe but also across Asia and the US, we look after a wide range of commercial clients such as Facebook and Vodafone as well as entrepreneurs and digital start-ups.

What you'll do:

Reporting to the HR Business Partner with responsibility for GDPR processes, key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting an audit of all personnel files in order to retain only documents required and permitted by legislation
  • Scanning all relevant paperwork to electronic files and archiving hard copy files
  • Sorting and moving all existing electronic paperwork to a new filing system
  • Sharing knowledge and guidance with the wider HR team
  • Assisting with creating and issuing guidelines on new data protocol
  • Assisting with creating or updating any relevant HR knowledge maps

What we're looking for:

We are seeking an individual with experience of providing administration support within a fast-paced environment. Whilst it would be an advantage to have gained administration experience within a HR department, this is not essential if there is a demonstrable interest in this area.

Also required:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to think on one's feet and questions when needed
  • Confident to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable dealing with repetitive admin tasks while applying thought
  • Experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner
  • Ability to understand nature of data protection legislation (although help will be available for questions)
