We have a fantastic, new opportunity for a SAP Architect to join our Strategic Programmes team in our London office. This is a day-rate contract position and we are looking for someone to work full-time for an initial period of 6 months.

The Team

The newly formed Strategic Programmes team is based across the London and Bristol offices. Our 5 person team has an open and supportive culture, focussing on the delivery of outcomes. The team sits at the heart of business change, helping OC deliver its 2020 strategy, reporting to the International Strategic Programmes Director/CFO. The team thrives on change and innovation, encouraging diversity of thought and approach. 

What you'll do

Reporting to the Practice Management System (PMS) Project Manager, the SAP Architect will understand and define the overall application and technical requirements.

More specifically, you will ensure that effective solutions are provided to complex business needs, and that the technology solutions proposed satisfy the end-state Business Operating Model.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that solutions are integrated across the SAP and non-SAP landscape
  • Ensure alignment of solutions, business and technical architectures
  • Help to identify and resolve cross functional issues
  • Ensure that both SAP and non-SAP impacts are considered in any design decisions
  • Provide architectural and general technical input to the solution design process
  • Develop and maintain strategic and tactical architectural policies to support the programme
  • Contribute to the development of the implementation and rollout plans
  • Advise on issues likely to be encountered where SAP is implemented in a disparate systems environment
  • Share knowledge and experience with other Architects both in and outside the programme
  • Develop strong working relationships with the programme, the business and the IT teams
  • Take a leading role in ensuring an on time, quality delivery of the solution
  • Provide day-to-day support to the programme including dealing with queries, advising on the resolution of issues and general trouble shooting
  • Ensure relevant knowledge transfer to permanent, internal IT resource 

What we're looking for

You will have extensive experience in a SAP architectural role(s). This experience will have been gained within international organisations, ideally within the legal or professional services environment – although other environments will be considered.

Also required:

  • Experience with S/4HANA and HANA architecture experience – Certification preferred
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the SAP solution on S/4HANA
  • Experience of a disparate solution landscapes including SAP
  • Experience of non-SAP systems
  • At least 4 full lifecycles
  • Middleware & integration topologies
  • Experience of working on multi-country implementations
  • TOGAF (or similar) Qualified
  • Accountancy qualification helpful but not essential
