Service Overview

The Role

We're seeking to recruit a motivated paralegal to join our team in either our Bristol or London office. The role would be to support the team across the work streams set out below and the expectation should be that you would have involvement in both the internal and post-completion support work and working alongside associate teams on live transactions. The role is available on a permanent basis.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Company searches & filings
• Drafting/approving corporate authority documentation
• Drafting deeds of release, standard form bank security and other documentation
• Preparing condition precedent (CP) schedules and running CP exercises/updates
• Undertaking due diligence on corporate transactions
• Post completion diarising of post-closing conditions and bibling
• General transaction support to associates

Technical Skills and Experience

You'll be an ambitious individual who has preferably successfully completed the Legal Practice Course with good academics (minimum 2:1 for degree). Previous experience working as a paralegal would be advantageous, particularly if the work entailed banking and finance matters, but more importantly, you will have the ambition and drive to succeed.

Team

The Banking team is made up of over 40 lawyers nationally. The Bristol team has 2 Partners, 1 Associate Director, 2 Senior Associates, 4 Associates, 1 Trainee Solicitor and 2 Paralegals. In London there are 8 Partners, 4 Senior Associates, 3 Associates, 2 Trainee Solicitors and 1 Paralegal. You would be reporting to Caroline Saul (Associate Director).

This vacancy is for a Paralegal position, it is not an entry route to a training contract at Osborne Clarke LLP – the two recruitment processes are completely separate.
