Role: Legal Analyst (3 months, Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Glasgow
Reporting to: Legal Analyst Manager
Hours of work - Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30. You will be required to work such hours as are necessary to carry out your duties.
Department/ Role Overview:
Ashurst Legal Analysts – Glasgow
We have identified a fixed term opportunity for a legal graduate to work on a client specific project within our Legal Analyst team based in Glasgow.
This role will provide you with exposure to working in a global law firm and allow you the opportunity to gain commercial work experience as well as developing the skills required for a successful career in the legal industry.
This role is a fixed term opportunity for approximately 3 months which will commence in April 2019. There may be the possibility to extend the contract for a longer period of time.
Main responsibilities:
This role will give you great exposure to high quality commercial legal work being undertaken by one of Ashurst's practice groups.
You will be working with other legal analysts and providing support to the qualified lawyers in Ashurst's Glasgow and London offices on a high profile project for one of our global clients. Full training will be given.
Risk and Control: Carry out all activities and duties in full compliance with our regulatory requires and internal policies.
Essential skills and experience:
- LLB or BA in Law (or equivalent law degree). It is not essential to have completed the Diploma in Legal Practice or LPC
- Ability to demonstrate initiative
- Excellent organisational skills
- Collegiate, positive and willing attitude to work
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Confident and professional manner
- High levels of IT skills and competence
- Strong desire to learn new skills
- Flexibility and a flexible approach to working hours
