Department purpose
A&O Litigation are uniquely positioned within the firm to offer data services externally to our clients and internally to other departments as well as offering our core services to the Litigation team. The ability to provide professional and innovative eDiscovery services is a key part of the Litigation Data Services strategy going forward. The ability able to combine our legal expertise with data-driven solutions to our clients is a compelling story to tell.

Role purpose
The eDiscovery Project Manager will deliver excellent service to internal clients in respect of eDiscovery and other client data-related tasks. This role works under the guidance the regional delivery manager and/or EMEA delivery lead.

Role and responsibilities
* Managing day-to-day activities of multiple, concurrent projects including interaction with internal and external clients, other team members and other parties involved in the engagement - taking ownership of all aspects of assigned matters including project financials through to completion with initiative/enthusiasm
* Determining allocation of work to assigned project team members
* Reporting accurate and timely project metrics to the regional delivery manager and/or EMEA delivery lead
* Delivering high-quality customer service
* Applying A&O best practice policies and guidelines to all assigned tasks
* Satisfying internal client expectations and requirements proactively
* Acting as a point of contact on system queries for internal clients
* Contributing towards the continuous improvement of departmental working practices
* Promoting and portraying eDiscovery and associated practices in a positive manner
* Meeting high-level service expectations whilst fostering internal client relationships
* Providing training sessions and demonstrations of Relativity and associated tools
* Coordinating alternative legal teams and technology resources (internal and external) with respect to document review

Key competencies
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Ability to interface with team members and client personnel in demanding, deadline-driven situations
* Excellent time management and organisational skills with ability to prioritise and multi-task
* Excellent customer-oriented commercial service ethos
* Good working knowledge of the entire EDRM and in particular collection, processing, review and production
* Experience with data processing tools such as Relativity or Nuix.
* Experience with Relativity document review platform
* Understanding of forensic data preservation tools and techniques
* Experience utilising SQL
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Strong presentation skills
* Excellent attention to detail including working methodically and conducting QC
* Ability and willingness to challenge
* Flexibility with respect to assigned tasks and engagements due to changing deadlines, deliverables, and task priorities
* Flexibility to work beyond office hours on occasion
* Ability to travel outside the UK for work
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Law advantageous
