Legal Project Manager

Due to growth, we're currently looking for a motivated and talented Legal Project Manager to join our Programme Management team led by Louise Thomas. .
About the Project Management Team
Here at Womble Bond Dickinson we don't believe in reinventing the wheel so we use tried and tested best practice project and risk management approaches and tools to make sure that the projects we deliver internally are professionally managed and consistent and, where applicable, dovetail with our clients’ own PMO. When our clients don’t have extensive capability themselves our qualified project managers and business analysts work alongside the lawyers to help with scoping, planning and risk/issue management.
About the role
We're continuing to invest in our projects capability and as one of the project managers in this team you'll have a key role to play in supporting a programme of high profile and complex projects, both internally and externally facing. You'll lead on key projects that are designed to support our strategic business goals and enhance client service delivery, across a number of practice areas and support functions including IT and our Legal Solutions Centre. In addition to taking responsibility for the full lifecycle of each project, you'll also provide a consultancy service to the business by sharing your project management expertise, coaching, mentoring and motivating the teams involved. In return we will ensure you have an interesting and varied portfolio of projects to work on, and we will continue to invest in your ongoing education and training so you can continue to excel in your role.
What are we looking for?
This is a highly visible role and in order to gain credibility quickly you'll need to be able to demonstrate a track record in delivering business critical projects on time and within budget. Ideally you'll come from a professional services environment and your practical expertise will be supported by your PRINCE2 / APMP or other relevant PM qualification. Exceptional interpersonal skills are crucial. You'll be required to influence a number of stakeholders at various levels so the ability to build strong effective relationships is essential. You'll be a strong communicator, both written and verbal and possess excellent commercial and political awareness.
