We are seeking an Associate (4+ PQE) or a Senior Associate for our Corporate team to be based in our offices in Manchester.

About the role

The Corporate group provides a wide range of legal services to a diverse client base, ranging from young entrepreneurial businesses to substantial public and private corporates and long established household names.

The role will involve supporting the partners on such broad range of corporate transactions, including mid-market M&A, equity capital markets work, cross-border transactions and group reorganisations and some private equity work.

The Corporate practice provides a comprehensive package of specialist skills and advice to clients including investment banks, accountants, venture capital and private equity providers, debt providers as well as corporates themselves.  The size of transactions range from early stage VC deals through mid-market private equity deals to Stock Market flotations.

About you

Ideally you will have/be;

 • Good corporate experience from within a respected firm 

• Good level of academic achievement 

• Experience of either private equity or capital markets work is desirable 

• Ability to demonstrate involvement and contribution to practice development, strong communication skills 

• With the ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Proactive approach to technical development
