So why do we have a new opportunity?
We’re supporting a large household name client with a project that is likely to last 12 months, perhaps even longer and as such our client has asked us to supply them with an experienced in-house litigator to be based from their London office.
What will you be doing?
You'll find yourself working on a wide spectrum of commercial disputes work with a strong focus on disputes around commercial contracts within a large in-house team of around a dozen legal advisors. You'll deliver first rate contentious advice on generalist dispute resolution and brand protection whilst working alongside an experienced in-house litigator. You will also need to directly advise the business and report up to the Legal Director, as well as to senior management.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
You'll have spent a substantial amount of time working in-house, either in a permanent role or on secondment from private practice. A strong skill set in managing internal business clients and external law firms is vital as well as having a thorough understanding of the risk and financial reporting obligations that comes with working in-house.
Good litigation skills are a major benefit, but applications from an enterprising lawyer with a desire to undertake litigation work and an aptitude for dispute resolution would also be welcomed.
