Purpose of the Role 

The Cashiers and Accounts Payable teams provide a wide range of support across the UK, Middle East and Asia and all offices are serviced from one team based in Leeds. 

Responsible for Cashiers and Accounts Payable operations across all locations, ensuring that business needs are met. Constantly ensuring that the processes in operation are fit for purpose and are being carried out in such a way that our regulatory requirements are being adhered to. 


The following list of duties is not exhaustive but gives an indication of the duties the Cashiering Operations Manager  is responsible for: 

Development of Systems and Procedures 

§  To ensure that systems and procedures comply with SRA (or equivalent) rules and practices; to report on and monitor breaches, to be proactive in recommending changes to ensure compliance to these rules 
§  Identify and implement process improvements 
§  Work closely with Risk & Compliance team in order to ensure any change in regulatory requirements are aligned to internal policies and procedures 

Team Development and structure 

§  Managing teams performance and ensuring objectives are aligned to meet Firms strategy 
§  Monitor workflow, ensuring operations are resourced and carried out effectively and in line with capabilities 


§  Contribute to compliance training of fee earners and PA's; to provide constructive feedback to clients outside the finance team so that training needs can be identified and addressed promptly 

Treasury Management 

§  Monitor all Firms bank accounts to make sure they are funded appropriately to meet business expenditure and treasury requirements 
§  Dealing with necessary Group inter-company loan advances and repayments 


§  Build strong working relations with UK and International Partners 
§  Maintain and develop strong working relationships with Firms operational Banks and external auditors   

Knowledge, skills and experience required (bespoke to role) 

- Strong background within Legal Cashiering with up to date knowledge of Accounts Rules across all jurisdictions and relevant VAT requirements 
- Acts as a role model and creates opportunities to develop team and operations 
- Excellent management skills with a proven track record in leading, coaching and motivating a team 
- Excellent communication and customer service philosophy 
- Adapt working patterns to meet business needs
