EBilling, Billing & Rates Manager - Leeds
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Ebilling, Billing and Rates Manager will be responsible for the proactive management of the ebilling, billing and rates teams and their processes and controls in order to support the business in achieving its financial targets.
► Proactive management of the ebilling, billing and rates teams and their processes by providing a responsive, professional and efficient service to the partnership and its clients.
► Motivational leadership of the teams to ensure team objectives are set, that support the working capital goals of the business.
► Working closely with the wider business to ensure working practices support the efficient ebilling, billing and prompt collection of bills from our clients.
► Delivering an efficient and effective ebilling processing service, ensuring a high quality and seamless service to the business and its clients. This includes responsibility for anticipating requirements, monitoring service levels and addressing/escalating issues.
► Ensure continuing 'best practise' in all aspects of the role and continuous improvement of systems, practice and processes within the ebilling, billing and rates teams.
► Working alongside the Credit Manager, the development and support of any special (non-standard) billing and collections relationships with the Firm's clients.
► Working alongside the Head of Finance and Commercial Finance Team to ensure fee earner, client and matter rates are managed correctly and adhere to firm policy.
► Identifying and maintaining key client relationships to support the ebilling / billing process to maximise cash recovery. ► Ensuring compliance with the Firm’s regulatory obligations (namely statutory reporting, the SRA and HMRC) and the firm's own policies and procedures.
► Working with the Finance team to provide support in the delivery of functional objectives and projects as and when required. Key upcoming projects are the Elite replacement project.
Knowledge, skills and expertise required
The successful candidate will have:
► eBilling experience at a senior level, ideally within a law firm environment.
► Service oriented with experience of stakeholder management and the potential to establish a polished reputation in the business quickly.
► Excellent organisational skills
► Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, and a customer service philosophy
► The ability to work well in a team-based organisation
► The ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment
► The ability to manage complex arrangements connected with billing (and cash collection).
