The Corporate Division offers significant experience of mergers and acquisitions, disposals, flotations (main market and AIM), joint ventures, reconstructions and other forms of equity and debt financing. We also have a leading reputation in private equity, with strong relationships with many of the UK's leading private equity houses. The FIRE team forms part of the wider Group however works closely with our Tax, Regulatory and Real Estate teams. The FIRE team has an enviable client base ranging from institutional managers and investors to UK centric propcos and developers.
We are looking to recruit an experienced lawyer to join the FIRE team. The role will include advising clients on a wide range of indirect real estate transactions, including the establishment of complex UK, international and cross-border real estate joint ventures and advising in relation to corporate wrapped real estate acquisitions, both in respect of onshore and offshore holding structures.
In addition there will be opportunities for the right candidate to gain exposure to a wide range of Funds and Structured Real Estate matters for a mixture or domestic and European clients. You should have at least 5 years indirect real estate experience with an interest to broaden your experience in the real estate funds market. Relevant knowledge in the world of fund and collective investment schemes regulation would also be beneficial. You can expect to involved in all aspects of indirect real estate work including:
- All aspects of corporate real estate M&A
- Structuring of UK / Offshore joint ventures
- Advising generally on management arrangements for real estate holding and fund structures
- Fund formation work including structuring, preparing core fund documentation
The successful candidate will be encouraged to take direct responsibility for clients and to become actively involved in client and business development initiatives. There is significant scope for you to build a practice and contribute to the wider success of the firm.

Knowledge, skills and experience required
You will have:
- Excellent academic achievement with a minimum 2:1 degree
- At least 5 years of post qualification experience gained within a comparable environment and at an appropriate level
- Clear understanding and working experience of the operation and structure of a leading law firm and the needs of the clients of a top flight team
