The Team 

Our Business Support and Restructuring team have great expertise in areas such as company law, real estate, banking, employment and dispute resolution, giving us the resource and experience to deal effectively with all issues in a restructuring or financially-stressed scenario. The team acts for a number of funds and all major banks on restructuring and recovery instructions.   

Our Requirements 

We are looking for a qualified Lawyer to work on all aspects of distressed debt, restructuring, turnaround, recovery, and insolvency. Some of the work will be focused on property finance and distressed property finance projects, advising lender, investors and corporates on all aspects of real estate finance, with a particular expertise in distressed situations.  You may also be working on a large number of debt portfolio sales, acquisitions and management for a variety of lenders and funds. 

Knowledge, skills and experience required (bespoke to role) 

Suitable candidates will have strong academics and gained at least a year of experience.  Along with excellent communication skills, we are seeking candidates with a willingness to learn and develop commercial awareness, In addition to this you should be able to demonstrate you are able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, challenging environment, where you will be required to meet tight deadlines.   


As well as the above skills and competencies required, the successful candidate will have: 

  • be a qualified lawyer, either in Scotland or England and Wales  
  • excellent academic achievement with a minimum 2:1 degree   
  • clear understanding of the operation and structure of a top law firm  
  • ability to achieve continuous improvement and development
