Associate - Pensions
Opportunity to join our market leading pensions team
About the role
We have one of the largest and most highly regarded specialist pensions teams in the UK, with top tier rankings in both Chambers and the Legal 500. Our team currently comprises 14 partners and 37 other fee earners. Our award-winning pensions team is experienced in advising trustees and employers on all aspects of defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes. We also have considerable experience advising on group pensions, master trusts, insurance products (including buy-in and buy-out arrangements), longevity products and other structures. Unlike many other pensions practices, we also work on litigation, as this enables us to brief clients in full on any potentially contentious issues and provides a balanced approach to our advice. This is an exciting opportunity for a junior pensions associate to join our market leading pensions team. You’ll be involved in a wide range of high quality advisory work and you’ll receive exceptional training in a supportive and collaborative team.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified solicitor, with 0-3 PQE
- Be able to demonstrate an interest in, and enthusiasm for, the pensions market
- Have gained excellent relevant experience from a recognised pensions team
- Have a strong academic background
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be able to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrate an ambition to succeed with a commitment to client relationship management and business development
- Be well organised with effective prioritisation skills
