The Team

The team is part of the Corporate Group and is focused on Corporate, M&A and Securities with a particular focus on the mining and commodities sector.  The Corporate Group is recognised as a leading corporate finance practice. With over 1,000 corporate lawyers globally, our M&A teams located throughout Europe, the United States, Canada, Latin America, Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia work closely together to provide integrated advice on all forms of domestic and cross-border transactions across the globe.

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced transactional lawyer to join our Corporate team in London to help us drive our growth in the mining and commodities sector and make a significant contribution to our M&A practice.

Skills and Experience Required

You will have a broad range of high quality experience on corporate transactions with a focus on M&A deals within the infrastructure, mining and commodities sphere. You will have played a central role in the structuring, negotiation and documentation of some of those transactions. You will be someone who has the ambition and drive to take responsibility for the deals that you working on to ensure they are brought to a successful conclusion. You will also have strong academic qualifications, be a committed team player with the ability to work as part of a wider group on large cross-border and multi-jurisdictional deals.  You will have a positive approach, a ‘can-do’ attitude and an ability and desire to understand technical concepts and apply them commercially. Fluent French language skills would be a particular advantage.

Additional Information

  • Opening Date - 5th March 2018 
  • Closing Date - 2nd April 2018
  • Salary Range - £84,000 to £95,000
