Our Chambers rated national Restructuring and Insolvency practice is thriving. With premier legal rankings, noted practitioners and a national capability recognised as being able to deliver for clients in an 'approachable and personable way', we are leading the way in the services, unrivalled depth of expertise and commercial advice that we offer to our client base. It's why clients tell us that they love what we do .

Our RIT team work with banks, turnaround professionals, insolvency practitioners, underperforming businesses, distressed lenders and other stakeholders to create recovery solutions and to advise on strategy to achieve solvent and insolvent restructurings and business sales. We understand the importance of giving advice relevant to the context of the sector in which our clients operate and strive to provide practical, and relevant advice.

We currently have an opportunity for a lawyer to join us in our team based in London.  Working with noted Partners Julian Gill and Andy Stirk and the up and coming Tom Pringle, this role will give the successful candidate an unrivalled opportunity to access the best national quality work and learn from leaders in their field. Day to day work will be wide ranging and diverse, including bank security reviews, bank and investor led restructuring, turnarounds, LPA receivership appointments, business sales and acquisitions, through to support of technical insolvency issues and directors duties advice.  There will also be the opportunity to become involved in transatlantic restructuring matters as we work with our US Restructuring colleagues going forwards following our combination in November 2017.

In the main the work is non contentious, but there will be some opportunities to work with colleagues that provide contentious insolvency support.  Recent notable examples of our work include advising administrators on issues arising from the trading and sale of care home group responsible for 1400 residents, hotel, and manufacturing groups including issues with international subsidiaries, two special administrations of investment banks under the Investment Bank Special Administration Regulations and debt sales in relation to well-known retail operators and commercial property portfolios.

The successful candidate will ideally have some insolvency and restructuring experience, although we would consider applications from those with banking and/or corporate experience that are keen to diversify. Excellent legal skills, quality drafting and the ability to offer practical and realistic advice to our clients are key.  Our practice is ambitious and we would love to receive applications from lawyers with the ability to develop relationships and foster new ones.

Working with the highest calibre clients, in a collaborative collegiate environment, we believe this is a unique opportunity for the right candidate.  Our culture is focused on our people - we place real value on personal development supported by a transparent lawyer career framework. Coupled with the chance to learn from leaders in their field and a team with the ambition to grow, this role offers a  true path to personal and professional growth. If you are up for the challenge, why not get in touch to find out more?
