We have developed fantastic relationships with our board, partners, managers and employees which supports us in providing first class and proactive support to an ever changing business.
Our team is spread across four locations; Newcastle, Bristol, Plymouth and Southampton. It is made up of three core teams; Recruitment, Generalist HR and Learning and Development.
The Generalist HR team (working from Newcastle, Bristol and Plymouth) provides support to partners, managers and employees across a whole range of people issues. The team also works on a number of firm wide projects, together with the HR Project Manager. The team has a Head of HR who reports to the HR Director.
This role sits within a team made up of HR generalists, project specialists (incorporating internal communications), analysts and a secretarial services team. You will work with the team across all locations to respond to the needs of the business, and queries from managers and employees.
You'll be an experienced and resilient HR Advisor who is used to managing your own workload and have a track record of dealing with contentious and non-contentious people issues with conflicting deadlines.
You will have proven experience of providing HR support in a wide range of people situations and solid experience of handling performance management, disciplinary and grievance cases, sickness absence, maternity, flexible working etc. You will also have experience of researching new employment law, drafting and reviewing policy and process and explaining legislative changes to a diverse audience.
You will be comfortable leading meetings and presentations and have strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
While experience of working within a law firm or professional services would be helpful, it's not essential. It would be great if you were CIPD qualified (Chartered) or working towards this, but equivalent experience is considered to be just as important.
We are happy to receive applications from both full and part time applicants, but will need a minimum commitment of three days per week.
