We are recruiting a Junior Finance Systems Analyst to join our Finance Systems team on a 12 month fixed term contract within our Sheffield office.  

The Finance Systems team play a key role in the provision of the Practice Management System (PMS) and associated applications for DLA Piper International. The team works closely with the wider finance team,  the IT team and the business.

Joining the Finance Systems team you will play a central role in testing key applications for DLA Piper across the EMEA region. You will be challenged to ensure the output of defect free solutions, upgrades and fixes for our Practice Management Systems.  

The Junior Finance Systems Analyst will be responsible for working with the members of the project team to provide testing support across the development lifecycle for the output of new solutions, upgrades and fixes. You will ensure that testing enables released solutions to meet demands of customers, with the goal of zero defect releases and provide functional analysis to identify potential weaknesses in the solutions as early as possible.   

This role will be based in our Sheffield office but you may be expected to travel as and when required as part of your role.


  • Understanding the user requirements and outcomes which need to be achieved
  • Working closely with the project team to understand the use of systems and how these deliver the user requirements
  • Writing test scripts against functional requirements
  • Executing test scripts and documenting outcomes
  • Identifying and logging errors or defects in a clear and understandable manner


  • Experience in working on finance or software projects
  • Experience of working with Elite Enterprise or similar legal PMS
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate accurately and clearly
  • Understanding of business goals and objectives
  • Great team working skills
  • Able to work independently and adapt to change
  • Ability to judge and manage priorities effectively and work to tight timescales
  • Understanding of legal billing processes
  • Experience of working with Elite Enterprise or similar legal PMS
  • Experience in working on finance or software projects
