We are recruiting a Process Improvement Lead to join our Service, Delivery & Quality ("SDQ") team based in our London office.

As part of the wider team, the successful applicant will deploy Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques within one of our practice groups, directly supporting legal teams to develop and implement improvements in line with DLA Piper's business process improvement program.

This is an exciting and hands-on opportunity to join a well-established  team within one of the world's leading international law firms to deliver and drive greater client value at the right pricing point.

This role will ideally be based in London but the Process Improvement Lead may be expected to travel as and when required as part of their role.

  • Promote the services of the Service Delivery and Quality team as well as those of other departments as part of a holistic solutions based approach

  • Support DLA Piper's internal and external stakeholders in process improvement project scoping, definition, design and implementation

  • Embed the processes and technology necessary to differentiate us in the marketplace

  • Document various business processes using VSM and process mapping tools

  • Produce legal standards documents by working with our internal legal teams

  • Facilitate process improvement training at white/yellow belt level

  • Work with the PMO and IT teams on scoping, identifying and building value-added solutions backed by sound processes

  • Provide process-driven solutions for identified business needs


  • Process improvement experience with background of delivering efficiencies in a FTSE 250 business (ideally Legal)

  • Lean Six Sigma certification and Prince 2 qualification are desirable

  • Excellent analytical skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering results

  • Professional with a client-centric attitude, and a proven track record of understanding and exceeding client expectations

  • Driven and able to motivate a wide range of stakeholders, while meeting tight deadlines and measurable objectives for progress
