Role: IT Training Manager - Project (Contractor)

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9:30 - 17:30, although you will be required to work such hours that are necessary to perform your duties.

Reporting to: Global Technology Training Manager

Location:  London

Department/ Role Overview:

To manage the training rollout for a large IT upgrade project, providing comprehensive technology training to partners, legal staff, secretarial and support staff in all offices.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage the IT training solutions for a large IT upgrade project
  • Communicate with key stakeholders on progress and expectations
  • Manage the completion of the Training Needs Analysis
  • Develop and communicate the training plan
  • Plan the training delivery rollout
  • Manage agreed development deadlines and sign off process
  • Manage and report training development progress
  • Classroom and WebEx training delivery
  • Manage E-Learning development (Articulate 360)
  • International travel to regional offices will be required
  • Planning and implementing go-live support strategies
  • Ensure the recording of training is accurately maintained in the LMS
  • Drive quality focus to ensure consistently positive customer feedback
  • Be active in knowledge sharing activities within the training team and externally

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience working in a legal or professional services environment
  • Advanced presentation and training delivery skills
  • Experience of managing IT trainers and the IT training requirements for regional offices
  • Good understanding and experience of the IT project lifecycle
  • Experience of working remotely and/or within a variety of international cultures
  • Knowledge of learning methodologies and learning styles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have the credibility, presence and presentation skills to influence at all levels
  • Ability to build effective team relationships
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and to work to deadlines

Desirable skills and experience

  • Train-the-Trainer Certification (e.g. LPI)
  • On-line training certification (e.g. COLF, CDOL)
