The department

Our dispute resolution lawyers employ the most appropriate tools and strategies for each stage of the disputes process and each unique situation, Our clients can count on our lawyers to maximize their prospects for a successful outcome. We also work with clients to fully assess and manage their risks in relation to the legal costs of any dispute.

Legal Process Management plays a crucial role in providing visibility of process and control to our clients and we now have an opportunity for a Legal Project Manager to drive forward our approach to effectively deliver the full disputes life-cycle within the Dispute Resolution team.

Purpose of role

You will provide high quality project management support and will work closely with a number of Partners and Associates within the department. You will provide the tools to ensure that we continually manage the expectations of our clients throughout the transaction process. 

This is a fantastic role for someone to shape the matter management process within our growing Dispute Resolution practice. 


  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to manage the full life cycle of clients matters, from scoping and resourcing through to billing and closing

  • Devise processes and provide update to allow the effective management of client and stakeholder updates

  • Monitor and revise budgets where required

  • Line management ofparalegal and other junior resource in the team

  • Streamline the administrative process around matter management

  • Devise and implement processes to streamline the effective billing of matters

  • Contribute to the continuous development of Legal Process Management within the group

Required experience, skills and attributes

  • A strong academic record, preferably of graduate level (law or business degree preferred)

  • Strong project/process management experience gained within a professional services environment and/or legal process management experience gained within a leading law firm

  • Knowledge of litigation would be advantageous

  • Highly organised

  • Strong budgeting and numeracy skills

  • Strong communication skills and able to interact at all levels

  • Proactive in approach and able to work independently

  • Stakeholder management skills

Language Capabilities

We are a truly global law firm and as such, always welcome hearing from those with foreign language capabilities. In light of our recent combination, Mandarin language fluency would be particularly advantageous given that China is now core to our strategy.
