We have an exciting opportunity for paralegals to join us in our Leeds office for an immediate start. This is due to a number of high profile projects. You will be needed for a minimum of 6 months, however this may be extended subject to workloads and your performance.

You will be joining our high performing, dynamic and busy Transaction Services Team (TST) as a Paralegal to help us deliver a world class service to our clients. These roles provide an exciting opportunity to work with a team of committed professionals at the forefront of change in the legal industry. The TST focuses on tasks that are found in a wide variety of legal assignments but which do not necessarily need to be done by qualified lawyers, such as document review, due diligence and e-disclosure, as well as process elements of transactional, advisory, commercial real estate and litigation work. It was set up by Addleshaw Goddard as an alternative, modern and more efficient approach to the conventional delivery of standardised legal services by law firms.

The work of a Paralegal is varied, and includes:

► Assessing the relevance to litigation cases of a wide range of documentation

► Reviewing and reporting on contracts and other information as part of corporate due diligence exercises

► Drafting and producing legal documentation and standard forms

► Managing electronic data sites, uploading and ordering documentation and liaising with third parties

► Providing transactional support on corporate, banking or real estate projects

► Checking legal documents for quality, consistency and content Assisting with post completion tasks on legal projects

► Creating bundles for trial and tribunal

The right candidates for this roles will have:

► A high level of attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating an ability to communicate with colleagues at all  levels

►A law degree or GDL and a completed or be studying for the LPC

►A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to their work

►An ambition to succeed in a legal career

►Effective personal organisational and time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple demands

►Experience of contract review, real estate or litigation is desirable but not essential
