We're looking to recruit a new PR Executive in either Newcastle or Leeds to play a pivotal role in our Marketing and Communications team.  You'll be supporting our PR Manager to assist with the day to day running of the firm's Press Office and providing a fast and effective media handling and response service.

PR is central to the way our clients view our business and experience and plays an important role in our approach to business development.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

Your previous experience is likely to have been gained in legal, professional services or other B2B organisations, either in-house or with an agency background. It's essential that you have experience in PR, digital media and copywriting. With so many parts of the business to look after, it's crucial that you are able to handle a fast moving 'to do' list with attention to detail and a sense of urgency.

What does the role look like?

Well, no two days look the same!  As you would expect, you'll be drafting press releases, by-lines and comments to ensure our key messages are reaching external audiences.  In doing this you will build relationships with key journalists, particularly in target regions and sectors.  We'll expect you to seek out news stories from around the business and proactively look for feature and article opportunities within target publications.

Outside of this, you will also work with the wider Marketing and Communications team on campaigns that combine PR, advertising, events, design, digital and client communications elements. This will give you a fantastic opportunity to work directly with partners to deliver high quality PR activity designed to promote and reinforce the firm’s reputation.
