THE ROLE

We are recruiting for a Projects Manager to work as part of the management team within the Legal Delivery Centre with responsibility for project managing the transfer of work into the LDC (and internal LDC projects) in a manner that achieves the desired outcomes through collaboration, efficient action and clear communication with stakeholders.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project managing the transfer, including: validating the business case for proceeding at the earliest possible stage; close collaboration with the designated member(s) of the Process team and stakeholders in the practice group

  • Ensuring all stakeholders agree the proposed solution, including quality controls and performance measures

  • Ensuring sufficient pre-go live testing takes place

  • Ensuring project management continues until the solution has been settled and signed off as such by all stakeholders

  • Managing issues where they arise before the service has been settled and signed off by all stakeholders

  • Tracking and assessing benefits to ensure the service delivers the intended benefits

  • Managing the design and introduction of improvements

  • Ensuring that playbooks are always upto date and accurate

  • Project managing initiatives that relate to the development of the LDC

  • Supporting marketing connected to the LDC

  • Acting as LDC representative and LDC project manager on DLA Piper initiatives such as Ways of Working

  • Ensuring documentation relating to Tech training and support is maintained and upto date

  • Co-ordinating the appraisal of new tech

  • Maintaining LDC Projects Manager Report

  • Ensuring reports (including Costs of Production) are produced for the purpose of tracking and measuring the realisation of intended benefits

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Experience of working within a law firm, or other professional services business

  • Substantive project management experience (ideally Prince 2 or other recongised qualification)

  • Experience of process mapping and playbook design

  • Dedication to exceeding customer service expectations

  • Able to build strong working relationships and be able to persuade and influence others

  • Able to write and communicate verbally in a very clear and concise way

  • Flexible to changing demands and good at problem solving

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Operates with a high degree of professionalism

  • Displays a positive can do attitude
