Role: Client Development Executive

Location: Glasgow - working remotely with BD and legal teams based in London – occasional travel to London, as required.

Reporting to: Senior Client Relationship Manager, Bank Industry

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:30, however you will be required to work such hours as are necessary to carry out your duties.

Opportunity overview:

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Client Development Executive to join our global Business Development team.

This role will support the Bank Industry CRM team, providing high quality business development and marketing support, specifically working to drive Priority Client relationships and support firm wide client and industry management initiatives.

The Client Development Executive will act as an ambassador for the firm's Priority Client Programmes and the Bank Industry and will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of high profile, client centric projects, working with senior stakeholders across the firm.

Main responsibilities:

Client and Industry leadership

  • Supporting on the implementation and delivery of Priority Client account plans and relationship agreement commitments.
  • Compile client facing relationship reports and firm, financial and market data for client and internal meetings.
  • Draw on external and internal research, business analysis and competitor intelligence to support client facing meetings (including preparation of draft agendas), pursuits and proposals.
  • Supporting on internal communications and sharing news on the client and industry programmes.
  • Proactively tracking client and industry news and trends, spotting revenue generation opportunities and supporting the relevant Client Relationship Managers to drive those opportunities to their ultimate conclusion.
  • Support the Client Listening programme including the process, management, reporting and analysis of trends to identify actions required and opportunities arising.
  • Support the delivery of the Bank Industry go-to-market plan. This includes our approach to industry publications/briefings, thought leadership, alignment with industry bodies, prioritisation and organisation of industry conferences, and profile raising initiatives across the industry.
  • Work with the Client Relationship Managers and HR to support the secondee process, including tracking secondee status and briefing/debriefing secondees.
  • Support on the management of the Bank Industry business development budget process.

Business Development

  • Produce client specific marketing materials (brochures, flyers etc), includes writing content and liaising with the design and editing team as required.
  • With the events team, plan and manage events of all descriptions, from hospitality events to seminars from inception to completion, to ensure maximum impact and ROI.
  • Maintain key information systems such as CRM and intranet to share and capture strategic client relationship information.
  • Assist the business on pitch opportunities, working with the bids team to provide background research, collating information on the firm's experience and producing focused business proposals highlighting the teams expertise.
  • Contribute to central marketing and business development initiatives, as required.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Front line Business Development experience - ideally, will have worked within in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Degree educated.
  • Interest in the financial services industry.
  • Ability to juggle a busy and varied workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Determination and commitment to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written skills.
  • Lateral thinking and the ability to overcome obstacles.
  • Team player.
