THE ROLE 

This role offers a Receptionist an opportunity to grow their career within DLA Piper.

We need an positive professional with good customer service skills and the ability to multi-task. This is a role for an individual who thrives on dealing with customer queries and providing a helpful and supportive resource at the heart of the businesses interface with our clients.

Energetic and enthusiastic, you will have the skills, knowledge and attributes to work flexibly and autonomously within our fast moving and changing environment.

Shift patterns are between 7am and 8pm Monday to Friday on a rational basis.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will provide a first class professional and client focussed reception service to internal and external clients and visitors which supports the firm's business needs and vision.

Your remit will include:

  • Meeting and greeting to ensure a good first impression of the firm is achieved

  • Booking meetings rooms and refreshments via GMRM

  • Booking video conference facilities and Webex, Skype meetings

  • Dealing with internal and external queries and working closely with secretarial hubs, catering and FOH tech

  • Ensuring meeting rooms are clean and tidy and adequately stocked

  • Liaising with colleagues to ensure meals and refreshments arrive on time and that meetings rooms are set up correctly

  • Flexible with working hour of -7.00-20.00 on a rotation basis

  • Working on the client facing area as well a independently with large volume of emails and queries

  • Managing bookings for 50 meeting rooms in the office

  • Being able to adjust to a fast pace 5 * client journey

In order to be successful in this role, the candidate needs to be able to show flexibility and eagerness to learn new things as this role is not a standard front facing receptions only, it is a fully comprehensive and diverse, fast paced front of house role.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES 

  • Experience in a reception role or similar

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Have the ability to prioritize and multi task

  • Familiar with Microsoft office software packages, operating a room booking system and setting up audio visual and IT equipment

  • Enthusiastic with a 'can do' attitude and solutions focused approach

  • Demonstrates flexibility, initiative and a willingness to take responsibility

  • Collaborative approach
