THE ROLE  

The Business Insight & Analytics (BA&I) Manager is a new role within our International Marketing & Business Development (BD) team. We operate a matrix management structure and the role will have close alignment with our Business Insights function which sits within our overall Knowledge Management service area.    

This role will be central in helping our Marketing & BD team leverage the data we hold relating to Corporate transactions and deals and use this to provide insight to shape our future Marketing & BD activities. The role will also involve collaborating with colleagues in the Americas in order to present a global as well as international perspective on data and insight.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and optimise the process for deal capture and reporting across the international business, working closely with colleagues in the Americas in order to present a global view of deals.
  • Be the central point of contact and adviser for marketing and fee earner teams for all Corporate deal capturing related queries.
  • Deliver training (face-to-face and via webinars) and guidance across the international firm on the processes used for deal capture and the technologies that support the process.
  • Responsible for regular internal reporting and ad-hoc requests for deal and relevant experience information.
  • Regular liaison with the global service centres in Warsaw and Tampa over deal capture, delivering training and quality assurance of output specifically in relation to information for International (Warsaw).
  • Ensure successful on-time submission of all Corporate League Table entries, Directory and Awards submissions.
  • Collaborate with other support teams such as Knowledge Management and Pitch.
  • Liaise and build relationships with external providers on League Tables and for other rating or ranking purposes.
  • Proactively feedback any insights resulting from your work to the Corporate team, both marketing and business development as well as fee-earners, such as market trends in order to identify potential business development opportunities.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Demonstrable experience/interest in Corporate transactions in terms of understanding of terminology and the markets.
  • Ability to think strategically and join up the way data is used by the Corporate team.
  • Demonstrable experience of undertaking market profiling and analysis.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting data and insight to senior level audiences.
  • Resilient with ability to manage robust questioning in relation to data analysis.
  • Relevant experience within a professional services business.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the global office network, but also to work autonomously.
  • Proven experience in successfully implementing and managing processes in relation to data capture, credentials and reporting.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders with conflicting priorities.
  • Strong organisational approach, with proven experience in working to multiple deadlines.
  • Evidence of strong attention to detail.
  • Able to adopt a persistent and robust working style.
  • Ability to find creative ways to engage internal stakeholders to generate the required deal information.
