We have a fantastic, new opportunity for a Travel Manager to join our Finance team. This is a permanent role that will be based in our Bristol office.

What you'll do:

The successful candidate will work closely with Osborne Clarke's travel provider to deliver a travel service that meets the needs and expectations of our partners, staff and clients. As such, you will take overall responsibility for the smooth and efficient organisation of OC's ongoing travel programme and processes. 

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage the on-going relationship with the travel provider and be the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for end-to-end travel service delivery and co-ordination of day to day operations
  • Ensure "high touch" transactions are within contract parameters and therefore cost effective for the firm.
  • Lead quarterly service delivery meetings (scheduling, setting agendas and following up actions).
  • Lead on communications to all key stakeholders and contribute to continuous process improvements/policy updates.
  • Responsible for realising the benefits of the new travel provider/system.
  • Maintenance of approvals process and out of policy bookings/application of travel policy.
  • Ensure annual business plan is implemented and delivered.
  • Ensure the smooth running of all booking processes (including rail ticket printing processes via central team).
  • Implement a proactive stakeholder engagement plan to ensure the new travel service delivers against expectations and remains fit for purpose.
  • Regular engagement/consultation with Travel Reps to understand and resolve any operational issues and act upon ongoing feedback.
  • Collation of high level and bespoke management reporting information using R&M online reporting tools.
  • Responsible for the analysis and presentation of travel data and the process involved in achieving the desired outcomes.

What we're looking for:

You will have a background in a similar travel related role, ideally gained within a legal or professional services environment, however other backgrounds will be considered.

Also required:

  • A proven ability to actively engage with and influence a range a stakeholders, up to and including senior level.
  • Problem solver who can bring an analytical approach to resolving challenges.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent organisational ability and strong attention to detail.
  • Sense of responsibility and ownership with a focus on getting the job done.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willing to learn new systems and processes.
  • Proven track record in data analysis/reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Willing to travel between London, Bristol and Reading offices to ensure appropriate visibility around the business as the recognised OC travel expert.
