Job Details

Our Real Estate teams are growing fast.  With a national presence of over 200 fee earners across 8 UK locations we're a force to be reckoned with.  But just because we're big doesn't mean we've lost our personal touch.  It’s the quality and commerciality of our service, our industry insight and the talent and passion of our people that engages our clients, and they love what we do.  It also means that our people are engaged, and excited about the opportunities for growth and development in our business – there is no doubt that it's an exciting place to be.

Our Plymouth property team is extremely busy with a wide range of property work for a range of household name clients.  From development projects and acquisitions and disposals of investment, retail and industrial property, to landlord and tenant issues and general estate and portfolio management instructions for public sector entities, institutional investors and national retailers.  In addition the team also undertake a significant amount of secured lending work for a number of high street, specialist and international lenders.  The work is varied and challenging.

The team, led by Partner Craig Moore, are looking for experienced solicitors to join them in strengthening their national offering, providing a genuine chance to join a highly motivated and supportive team with a wealth of relevant experience.  We've currently got two vacancies at both Associate and Managing Associate level.

What will you be doing?

You'll contribute to the growth and success of the business by developing the reputation/brand of the firm, taking a proactive role in building and maintaining client relationships, both in terms of revenue growth and profitability from new and existing clients.  You'll play an important role in helping us to further develop our local market share as well as our national work, running transactions in their entirety from the outset, supervising and mentoring others in the team to deliver those transactions for our clients.  As a key member of the team you'll be involved in business development activities, influence strategy for the team as well as helping others to develop in this area.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

You'll be an experienced and technically proficient real estate lawyer who's had extensive exposure to quality real estate work.  We're looking for you to add value by delivering first class commercial advice with both business and sector insight.  You'll have strong internal and external networking skills and use these effectively to generate work in your own right.  If you've not yet had the opportunity to do this and you're keen to develop in this area, we'll provide you with the support you need.  You'll also, ideally, have experience of supervising the technical work of others and enjoy devoting dedicated time to share your expertise through coaching and mentoring.

So what makes it so great to work here?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a premier team where you can learn from true leaders in their field and build your experience with access to great quality work and great clients.  Supported by a collegiate approach, and firm wide commitment to lawyer development there are fewer better places to start your career as a qualified lawyer.  Our well established Plymouth office is also where our other legal business groups are based as well as our very successful legal solutions centre and business support teams.  Situated on the Hoe our office also boasts panoramic views of the coastline.

And that's not all, alongside a competitive salary you'll receive a flexible benefits package so you can pick and choose between the benefits that matter most to you.
