Reception / Switchboard Operator
Are you looking for your next Receptionist or Switchboard position? Are you passionate about delivering outstanding Front of House service? Would you like to be based in the centre of Bristol in a fantastic, modern office? If so, we have a great opportunity for you!
We are looking for an Operations Assistant to join us on a fixed term contract. The role has arisen as a result of an internal secondment and we are keen to get someone to join our friendly team to cover for 3 months.
The Front of House team are the face of the firm. Not only will you be greeting everyone with a friendly smile and efficient manner, you will be recognising what each individual needs. Is the client who has just had a long journey in need of a cup of tea and 5 minutes to relax? Does the candidate who is nervously waiting for their interview need an encouraging smile? Or do you need to calmly direct the lost visitor through the Bristol streets? As an experienced Receptionist you will intuitively know what is needed and make that essential first impression, truly outstanding.
You will also be able to respond effectively and efficiently to a range of calls. From the client who has lost the lawyers number and needs assistance immediately, to the interview candidate who is running late, harassed and desperate to salvage a good first impression. Each person will require your skill and calm demeanour to talk them through whatever situation they find themselves in.
Professionalism and flexibility will be absolutely key to success in this role. We have 33 meeting rooms that are all in high demand; the reception team manage the booking system and help to coordinate everything from large client meetings, seminars and events through to fine dining and internal activities.
Without doubt, professionalism is at the top of our list of requirements; however we also need someone who will work well within a team and enjoys our collaborative way of working. You won't be fazed when under pressure and be flexible to help out in other areas of the Front of House Team when required.
Our six core values – Ambition, Collaboration, Commitment, Fairness, Quality and Respect - are at the heart of everything we do and help to shape our unique culture. As well as high quality work and exciting development opportunities, we offer our people a professional, friendly and sociable working environment with a real sense of community.
We are proud to have been awarded 'Happiest Work Place' at the National Happiness Awards in 2017 and, in 2018 we were delighted to have been awarded 'Law Firm of the Year' for the third year running by RollonFriday.
Please note that this role operates a shift pattern over 40 hours per week. The two shifts are 7.30am - 4.30pm and 10.00am - 7.00pm, Monday to Friday.
