Overview of the role

This role, reporting to a Finance Systems Functional Manager, is based within the Finance Systems Business Analysis team which is split into a number of functional areas. Within each area, the team is responsible for managing operational issues and queries through to resolution, implementing new functionality and defining developing and maintaining 'best practice'.

Main Responsibilities

The Business Analysis team, in its entirety, are responsible for the all functional areas within the Finance Systems, which includes:

  • New Business Intake and Master Files – 3E aspects of integration with Intapp Open; 3E Master Files, Security and User Access
  • Work to Cash – Time Capture, Billing, Collections and Receipts in relation to both the Volume and nonVolume areas of the business
  • Purchase to Pay – Vendor/Payee management, invoice and expense capture and approval (Chrome River) and invoice payment
  • General Ledger and Trust – General Ledger account management, Office and Trust Bank accounts, Trust transactions, Bank reconciliations, Balancing and Month end processing

The NBI & Master Data Finance Systems Business Analyst will work closely with the Finance Systems Functional Manager Volume to:

  • Resolve operational issues, including 'how do I' queries and data queries
  • Manage user queries through to resolution
  • Liaise with other members of the Finance and Front Office staff in resolving operational matters
  • Implementation of new functional modules, software upgrades, hotfixes and data conversion activities for merger projects
  • Deliver more complex system set ups
  • Manage changes required to deliver new functionality
  • Input to the road map for Finance systems with regard to NBI and master data
  • Provide cover for the Functional Manager Volume as required
  • Development of best practice within the work stream

Candidate Specification

  • Experience of working with financial systems in a legal environment
  • Proven knowledge of processes and systems for a specific functional area

  • It is desirable to have knowledge and experience of Elite 3E
  • It is desirable to have working knowledge of MS SQL
